Damp car issues...

Recommended Posts

Hi there guys,

Just a post to advise anyone who doesn't use their C much or suffers condensation issues I found the best way, and cheapest way to deal with this is using an internal dehumidifier bag...

It is very easy, just put it in car and it works by roughly keeping the interiour at 60% relitive humidity.. and its reusuable! Keeps the car in good condition & i havent used the window rag in 2 months..

good idea!

In regards to the condensation problem, which my VR also suffers from. A way to cure it is to clean your windows, then with a minute amount of washing up liquid rub a cloth over the windows. Finish off with a clean tissue or like and comes up sparkling and no condensation. Dad's been doing that for years.

Thats a good idea mate,

I was told to use newspaper when drying the car, it also could work inside too....

Aparently it contains some ingredient in the mulch which leaves a perfect shine & condensation free etc... cant be bothered tho

heh i was talking about that with my mum the other week. She said newspaper was used to clean glass :cuckoo: I thought it'd leave ink marks on the window

infact just using kitchen towel works best both to put washing up liquid on and to buff up after.

newspaper works for cleaning windows (same as with vinegar) because of the high acidity level of the pulp they use and in the ink- hence why newspaper goes yellow so quickly as it oxidises.
