dinkus 10 Posted May 20, 2008 Water pump All models excluding 2.9 VR6 037121010BX £28.30 £20.87 via TPS Prices are all plus VAT and from last year, so might not be a bit out of date. I've no idea where the pump is on a valver, but I wouldn't have thought it'd be much more than an hour's labour to change...?
Yozza 0 Posted May 20, 2008 Cheers for that. I thought I read somewhere about having to crank up the engine, so I thought it might be a bit of a nightmare?
n3p 3 Posted May 20, 2008 The pump is located next to the steering pump, and tbh should be easy enough to replace yourself if you don't mind getting your hands dirty :D
dinkus 10 Posted May 20, 2008 Again, no idea where it is on a valver, but on the VR it looks like it's a bastid of a job, but is actually fairly straight-forward. Just jack the engine up a bit and it clears the inner-wing and comes out easy.

Yozza 0 Posted May 20, 2008 Cheers again. Yeah, I had a look at it and it seemed to be a bit of a hassle to get to as it's right under the alternator. I don't have the tools/time/skills to get to it, so I'll just take it down to my friendly neighbourhood garage, and it should hopefully only be an hour or so's labour. I need a service on the car anyway. I'm just getting the niggly things out of the way now because I'll be selling the car next month. Ta.
