Door handles-Telling right from left?

How do you work this out?

Ive got some here which i might sell but havent a clue how to tell them apart.

Have a look which way the lead comes out of the handle. It goes down into the door so the lead should point down when you're holding the handle correctly.

 

AFAIK!! Been years since I saw a handle!

If you pull the handle as if you were opening the door, the latch bit should rotate downwards.

Ah, that's what I was trying to remember.

 

I know I've posted the same advice before after wondering about it myself.
