VRTrickster 0 Posted May 21, 2008 Right Im after the little clips on the rear beam that hold the solid line in place? Also the spring clips that go between the flexis and solid lines etc, some are like bananas and there are flat ones. Im after the flat type one? If anyone could help me out with ETKA or something that would be great!
dinkus 10 Posted May 21, 2008 The sort of squished C-shape spring clips for the flexi/hardlines are 4D0 611 715 B "retaining spring" There are 2 types of "retainer" on the rear beam. One that's got channels for 3 pipes, and 2 that have channels for 2 pipes... are they the type you mean?
VRTrickster 0 Posted May 21, 2008 Cheers dinkus, the ones Im on about that hold only one brake line I think, and are on the legs ever side, they slide clip on to the nail head thing bobs? I was after the tension spring and connecting parts also, part the online etka doesnt really show a good diagram of the rear beam!
VRTrickster 0 Posted May 21, 2008 Sorry Ive just checked that number and Ive already got new ones. The clips I mean are flat c shape with a right angle lip at the top to pry them off?
VRTrickster 0 Posted May 21, 2008 Cheers dinkus, the ones Im on about only hold one brake line I think, and are very small. They are on the legs ever side, they slide clip on to the nail head thingy bobs? ProdigalSon 1 Posted May 21, 2008 VAGCAT has the following (not sure which year your VR6 is, so could be variations): Flat retainer clip 4D0611715B (#14 in pic), Retaining bracket 357611797 (#17 in pic) Rear brake lines.jpg[/attachment:32i2gd95] Any use? Cheers guys, no Ive also looked through the etka/vag cat diagrams and they dont seem to be showing :? The best way to show you what I mean is to take some pictures of them, but I cant see how that would even help without part numbers :(
ProdigalSon 1 Posted May 23, 2008 Post the pics anyway - we may be able to deduce what they are, then find a partcode :D
Timbo 0 Posted August 25, 2008 I reckon he means these things: Which, coincidentally, I also need. Vag cat doesn't seem to be much use. There are a bunch of numbers it could be, but it's not obvious .
Timbo 0 Posted August 26, 2008 Staring at vagcat, my best guess is 1H0 611 797C: http://www.vagcat.com/p/B084/083500.png http://www.vagcat.com/epc/cat/vw/COR/1993/76/54/845989/ The one I think it might be is 15, which is described as "retainer / F >> 50-S-000 361 1 point /". Assuming "1 point" means it holds 1 brake line, that sounds like it could be it. On the other hand it's placed on the diagram in a place where it looks like the clip should hold two brake lines. I want the clips that fit the solid brakes lines (10 and 11 in the diagram) to the axle, but there are no clips shown in that place :bad-words:. Anyone got any bright ideas/thoughts?
