Looks like a nice original car, I loved my old VR, but I just couldnt ever seem to like it as much as a mk1 or mk2 golf though for some reason  the engine was superb mind and the sound of a VR is something to appreciate

Heres the Various guise`s mine went through in 4 years  2 sets of rims and 2 different Jetex exhausts, 2 sets of head lamps, 2 sets of rear lamps  and apart from the exhaust and FK coilovers and BBS RS rims the rest always ended up being put back to standard  was a great car, shame ya keep em all

they are nice rims though and if mine had been 2 door i think i would have kept them

Nice car Mrs. B

I have a horrible feeling that you're gonna rue the day you put a car seat down on gravel though: the grease on the rails is really really thick and easily picks up little stones, which then get stuck :brickwall: Hopefully that won't have happened though

So when are you gonna schrick that fool and boost it until it peals down the road like some kind of screaming banshee?

Plan is:

A good detailing

Crystal smoked rears

Debadged grill

16" or 17" rims but not sure what ones yet

Techtonics exhaust

Schimmel 263s

Custom re-map

Replacement beasting ariel

Front number plate

Treatment for faded rear spoiler

Replacement centre console (a bracket of some sort is screwed on the side of the current one)

Replace tatty stearing wheel and gearstick gaiter and gearknob

Chrome bezels for instument cluster

TT Pedals

Pink fluffy dice  (only joking)

Black leather interior

Sound system

Alumination change from green to red

Thanks, not too sure what wheels they were, i got them off a guy on ebay. I know they are from the VAG range and liked them as they looked very oem in my opinion. Probably an optional alloy from the stealers or summat. Never saw them on another mk3 thats for sure.

Sounds like your gonna be busy

I wish my better half would embrace the idea of a nice MK3 VR. Air-con would be useful at this time of the year!

Replacement steering wheel and serpentine belt tensioner fitted on Sunday, curtosy of Mr and Mrs Dunn

Unfortunately or fortunately, depending on they way you look at it, discovered that the water pump is on the way out whilst doing the serpentine belt. Going to sort that at the weekend :brickwall:

Oh and the airbox now looks like swiss cheese :norty:

Gav got some more photos too, and a couple of flyby vids........
