cleaning ps fluid reservoir

Was caught out by the 'level' in the PS fuid reservoir - there is a line from the old green fluid, but removed the cap to find it empty! Obviously lost a lot more than i thought when i took everything apart. Is there any way to clean the reservoir out before filling with fresh fluid?

Try a good old soak in washing up liquid or a run through the dishwasher.

if you don't wanna put it in the dishy, use a dishy tablet. mash it up a bit (but so there's still some granules left) and lob it in the reservoir with some hot ish water and get your maraca on. That works quite well. Remember the tabs are like really concentrated soap though so only use a little bit or be ready to rinse it out a lot after!

One of those nylon bottle brushes would probably do the trick

Ah yeah, do that. I forget the PS reservoir is much easier to clean than the coolant expansion tank.
