1ST POSTING ON THE FORUM SO IF I THERE IS ANY ERRORS I APPOLIGISE . CAN ANYONE HELP THE BATTERY TRAY ON MY 1994 16 VALVER IS ABSOLUTLY ROTTEN CAN A NEW PANEL BE BOUGHT FROM ANYWHERE? THANKS IN ADVANCE G.

Yup, as VR6 n.o.s. said, they're a replacement panel available from VW. Get the wallet out though, it's £50ish + VAT and is a special order part. I think they even need to take a deposit payment before ordering? I asked about one recently.

 

You might be better to just get a bodyshop to weld a plate in if you're not too bothered about it looking OEM.

Yeah still available, none in the country at the moment but no on backorder so should be 3 days from Germany...
