were does this go

hi putting my g60 lump in a golf was sorting the wires out today came across these two wire

blokes does ne one now were thay go think it might of been under the hand brake cover or near

there ne 1 got ne clues to why for cus there just empty plugs pushed

in the blokes

The top one sits behind the center console on the rado's...its just a connector for the plugs that go in there.

 

The bottom one sits under gear lever surround as said above.

They are for conencting diagnostics, e.g. VAG-COM to the OBD of the cars ECUs.

 

However IIRC your G60s engine ECUs don't have any diagnostic function, only the ABS ECU has diagnostics in G60 cars.

 

Since you have dropped the ABS in the transfer of stuff to the golf, the diagnostic connector will be of zero use to you.

the black and white ones are for diagnostic as they are with many v.a.g. cars but what are the other ones that go behind the console for?

On some corrados theres the wires for the optional gauges (oil pressure and voltage) in place.
