Scott 0 Posted December 6, 2003 Finished installing heater matrix last week and actually got a chance to drive the VR6 today for first time in two weeks :D Quick  lol Anyway I had to take the front seats out for matrix and although am pretty sure they are in place they now seem to rock very slightly when braking and accelerating - they didnt do this before!!! Any pointers? - have had a quick look in dark and it seems to be rear of seat towards the doors on both side that seems to have some movement.... Have I forgetten to put something back in place? Henny 0 Posted December 6, 2003 It's possible that you've not got the seats back in the runners properly... It's easier to do than you'd think! :? The other possibility is that the plastic covers on the "feet" of the chairs have come off so they don't fill the runners properly allowing the chairs to rock... Take 'em back out in the morning and have a good look at 'em... 8)
Scott 0 Posted December 6, 2003 I have checked that as like you say it is easy to do. Im pretty sure both of the covers are on the runners ..... Am annoyed cos going out in the VR tonight for a drive to pick a mate up and the seats moving driving me nuts! But yeah will take them out in morning 8)
Henny 0 Posted December 6, 2003 You'd be suprised how easy it is to miss the runner guides on one side at the rear when putting the seats back in... I did it last time I took the seats out of my 'rado and couldn't believe that I'd done it... :?
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted December 6, 2003 Henny is right, check the white plastic runner clips are clipped onto the seat subframe. They usually wear anyway, so replacements might be a good idea. Only a few pence from the dealer. K
corradovr6sc 0 Posted December 6, 2003 There is a yellow T-shaped rubber damper on the front of each seat located where the middle rail slides through the guides which are part of the floorpan. If they are missing the seats rock like mad.
