The car came with the engine found the car on PH for 1300, so i gave him 1100

Was a bargain really the interior is almost mint.. almost untouched.

 

I have had it on the rollers.

it was 147.5BHP Bit underpowered really.

But the car has absolutley no history.

So i doubt it was serviced.. EVER. lol

that seems low, but suppose a lot depends on the rollers calibration, from what i've read you could expect 10 - 20 bhp more from a 2litre kjet, am hoping anyway as that's what i'm doing!

 

maybe could do with a tune up

Finally got some frickin coilovers. Got me some Brand new weitec hicon gt's at an absolute bargain price of £275

Wanted to fit them earlier but it was raining :(

So they gonna have to wait till tomorrow.

But got a few extra bits to do aswell and did a few earlier when the rain stopped.

Did an oil and filter change. Aswell as replacing a temperature sensor.

Got some g12 as it has the top hose flange on the block is leaking, got a new one to fit, maybe do that tomorrow.

Wasnt to bad, i got the suspension fitted in a few hours, now drives like a train on rails :D

was thinking about your power there recently, is your's just the gti head or the whole gti engineered engine? if the latter there is defo something up.

Looks wicked on the Borbets :D I used to run plates the same and got pulled and fined for them and a mot check thing to say id changed to legal plates....took them about 6 months to do me though and i wasnt running a front plate so you might be lucky!

And i found a nice corsa for you aswell like you asked me to the other day when you said you are fed up with the shocking VWs and wanted to switch to vauxhall. Although like you also said it doesnt take a lot to find a nicer corsa than a corrado.

I am really chuffed to see this car still going strong - I first came across it when I went to look at it in 1995 when it was for sale just outside Cambridge. We were so impressed with the way it put down the power with the GTI Engineering conversion that my friend Andrew bought it taking it to to live in Ipswich for a few years before moving on to a G60. The torque of that 2 litre valver is awesome. Hope it goes on for a good deal longer.

Cheers, they arnt going red anymore, im doing them white centred now, hopefully be painted next week and i bought some polishing bits to polish the lips, so hopefully do that before the week is out
