Existing VAG relays for uprated headlight loom?

I'm just pulling together the bits to build myself an uprated headlight loom, I have a full set of Relays from my old 16v' rado, are any of them suitable for the job? I realise that it is probably easier to buy new, just seems a shame to have them all sitting there gathering dust when they could possibly be reused?

Any idea which one to use? I've got a full set from a 1990 16v to choose from...

Thinking about it, i can just use the headlight and main beam relays.... sorry I'm being a little slow this evening!!

not sure of the ratings on VAG relays, but maplins basic 30A relays were very cheap when I bought mine, best ones for the job are probably the Hella ones (or similar) with the built in piggy back blade fuses.

as long as they are a four pin relay mate they can handle a headlight amps.

yeah, ditto James. I used to swap my relays around all over the shop when I was working on getting the plum home for the very first time.
