How to remove door cards?

Hi im new to the whole corrado thing as i recently brought one.

 

Just wondering how do you remove the doorcards, i got all the screws and bolts out removed the handle and everyhthing. It seems to be caught or stuck on something just above the speaker, and i cant for the life of me figure out how to unclip it.

The rest of the doorcards are free and ready to come off its just something just above the speaker is stopping it.

 

Any help would be great as i currently have a drivers side hanging off lol.

Take the speaker grill off ... :) Hidden screw.

You don't need to remove the trim near the door mirror...

haha, is that it that one screw up in the speaker. lol what a stupid place for a screw.

Whoa Scary. Ive done this today and got a thread going with the same thing.

 

I also missed the screw behind the speaker grill, wish Id seen these pics first. DOH

i missed that screw too but the whole thing came off with what i would call 'persuasion' before i realised it had snapped lol

Early door cars have a screw on the forward face of the doorcard so keep and eyeo out for that.

 

If the black plastic clips that hold the door card on at the bottom are missing or broken these are an obsolete item from VW but I think you should be able to use the MK III Golf items so order those instead.

Anyone know the details for the screws? (pitch etc) The one in the speaker hole is missing on my rado.
