MK1Campaign 0 Posted December 5, 2008 Youll need to get some brackets made to mount the calipers. You could try Godspeed motorsport brakes for that. You will also need wheels with lots of clearance. Probably somethink like 8x17.
phil naxos 0 Posted December 5, 2008 PSI tuning in Sttafordshire have done that on a 24V Raddo needed spacers though. That can only improve things I read that Brembo make the porshe pads. Is that any help?
KADVR6 0 Posted December 5, 2008 here ya go http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Porsche-Caliper-t ... 240%3A1318 buy these carriers and some good 312mm discs/pads and you will be stopping very quickly. karl
F8AME 0 Posted December 5, 2008 that means i will be using the rear calipers for this ,is there no way i could use the fronts or even all 4?????
KADVR6 0 Posted December 5, 2008 so you wanna try and fit the front brakes from off a 996 then? well if you wanna do it you can, BUT you will need a minimum 18" wheel to fit those front brakes as they are huge. the rears are very good brakes on any corrado even if charged/turbo'd. nmahi 0 Posted December 5, 2008 i got these brakes on my mk1 golf.....made up my own brackets and had to get my hubs slightly machined.....and im running 16's. 7.5j......no spacers.....its all brain power and messing around.... i got a spare set of calipers somewhere.....hmmm might find a home on my corrado....if i can be bothered. lol

nmahi 0 Posted December 5, 2008 nmahi wot have you got front or rear on your golf??? I had both, the front were too big in width and length for a mark 1.....mite be ok for a corrado.....the back are similar and are prefect.......
Lizard Racing 0 Posted December 5, 2008 Ive got front 996 turbo brembos on mine, made my own brackets and fitted with 330x28 Cupra discs. They have fitted fine behind both my RS4 replicas and my TT comps with additional 10mm hubcentric adapters. I bought my blank mounts off German ebay for £50 and drilled, milled and tapped them to fit, its not too hard, offset is key.

Probably somethink like 8x17. i will be trying godspeed when i come to renew my discs, as i want the two piece disc and bell. godspeed do a 325mm rotor and i'm running brembo 323's so hopefully there will be room for the 1mm more clearance i need between the edge of the disc/caliper (should have thought so...) i originally heard about them through an impreza owners club (used to have a scooby) - have only heard good things. i actually spoke to the guy (ian godney) on the phone before now and he seemed very helpful :)
chazrad 0 Posted December 23, 2008 I can recommend Godspeed and I can also recommend Bill Brockbank aka 'Badger 5' too. HTH
