quick Audi 80 question please.

I am offered a 1992 audi 80 ( 6 cyl. engi) ... did the 80 model ever come in 6 cyli.?? the guy selling it swears it is all original and it is a stock engine.

Yes the audi 80 coupe came with a 2.6 V6.

and saloon and probably the estate, fairly rare cars though, no idea why they designed a 2.6 V6 at the same time VW designed the 2.8 VR6 though, apart from filling a bit more space under the bigger audi bonnet :shrug:

Yep, the 80 was available with a 150bhp 2.6 V6, later 80 Cabs were upgraded toa 170bhp 2.8 V6, smooth but gutless, not exactly economical
