Electric window problem...

Refitted my door handles that i had off to clean up today, guided the cable for the central locking from the handle back down the inside of the door and connected at the bottom, no probs. Tested the window would go up and down, when it went down it snagged on something so i put it back up. Checked inside the door that nothing was in the way and put it down again, same problem but this time when i went to put it back up nothing! switch wont make the window go up or down now. So checked the switch on the drivers side, nothing and the drivers side is completely dead aswell now :censored:

Thought it would just be a fuse so checked fuse box under dash, all fuses are ok. Disconnected battery and reconnected again just incase, still nothing :brickwall:

Am i missing something simple? or has anyone come across this before? Couldnt find a fuse marked for the elec windows in the fuse box, are they located somewhere else ???

Please help :help:

window regulator maybe??

You'll have to venture deeper inside and have a look.

I had a similar problem in my golf

I need to buy a new window regulator for it

Can't be ar$ed at the moment but I managed to get the window back up with some jiggery pokery.

Either that or your door window switch may be faulty.

I'd check this first actually as it it simpler/cheaper.

Have you checked the window/central locking fuse?

It's on it's own above the main bank of fuses, most people don't know it's there.
