nickin520 0 Posted March 10, 2009 ok guys newb here i am looking at purchasing a 90 8v turboed corrada heres the problem the original 8v supercharged engine had a burnt piston so the motor was pulled and the owner of it now purchased a turboed motor it cranked fine on the stand now 6months later due to him being busy has it installed into the car and it wont crank with starter or wrenches this is a 5 speed car any idies on what the problem could be i would like to try to narrow down some options before i get it thanks nick Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

sparks 0 Posted March 11, 2009 give us all a chance mate you only posted yesterday if the motor has sat for over 6 months it depends wether it was in a nice warm shed or a cold damp one you wont turn in on wrenches anyway unless youve took the spark plugs out !!! sounds to me like your pistons have siezed on the bores try sparying WD40 down each spark plug hole and leaving it to soak in for an hour then try cranking on the starter motor with no spark plug in other wise it might be a full strip down and rebuild hope this help stu.....
