how is the ABS ring attached to the front hub?

Recommended Posts

all I can see are a couple of dints. are they welded on or what?

I've tried to have some mk4 hubs fitted (as they were like new) but the ABS ring fouls my carriers.

I'm going to have a nightmare trying to get some more hubs ready by tonight.....

The hub nut clamps the whole assembly against the inner-race of the wheel bearing at a guess.

I had mine off a few weeks ago, and there was one/or two posi heads on the disc, removing them released the disc, I'm sure thats the way it was connected, can't you see these heads?

I was using mk4 hubs (I had some nearly new ones), but it turns out the ABS ring hits the corrado carrier.

b4stard

I was hoping to swap the corrado ABS ring over tot he mk4, but on the mk4 hubs it looks like the ABS ring isn't meant to be detatched.

No, I've got a VR6 as well, 2 actually, just not in a Corrado.....yet . Why waste £6000 on a Corrado VR6 when I can get an 8v for half the price and fit the VR6 myself? who need traction control when you've got 4wd.... :D

I got the hubs sorted, I just got some mk3 ones, which are indeed bolted on with 3 countersunk bolts. F*ck knows how those mk4 ones are held together, they don't fit anyway.
