joinerboy 0 Posted April 20, 2009 hi i ordered some 4 pot ApRacing calipers and a rear disc conversion from 'Godspeed Motorsport' in december last year. well they haven't turned up and im now getting a refund leaving me 4 months behind on my project Heres the question: Where can i buy 4 pot ApRacing calipers from? Can someone recommend a place that is reliable and that will deliver the goods. i dont want to this order to go wrong again also does anybody know a place to get the rear conversion kits as well? i was going for 300mm disks instead of the normal 288(overkill i know but i wanted it to look even) thanks
colinstubbs 0 Posted April 20, 2009 What? You want to put 300mm discs on the rear to make it look even with the fronts? They'll just lock up on you!
fla 9 Posted April 21, 2009 you probably cant adjust the brake bias valve enough to compensate. 280s at the rear are fine by all accounts and IMHP make the car look 'more' balanced having a slightly smaller disc than at the front.
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted April 21, 2009 The rears won't lock up, that's what the ABS is for. I got my MK3 Golf 330mm x 28 kit from Julian at www.balancemotorsport.co.uk He's a sound guy, won't let you down. Be aware the lead time for a 'kit' can be as much as 4 weeks, especially over summer when the whole AP factory take annual leave :cuckoo:

Kevin Bacon 5 Posted April 21, 2009 :D No worries. They would lock up without it though!
joinerboy 0 Posted April 21, 2009 the wonders of ABS :D thanks for the replies. i didnt realize the kits could be so expensive. pay for quality i suppose. it says the kit is for a G60.i suppose it will fit a VR6. i will give him a call tomorrow has anybody used bigbrakes4u.com? Supercharged Junkie 0 Posted April 21, 2009 Doubt it would fit a VR, the disc would 4 stud for a G60 not 5 stud as for the VR I think Badger5 are the best people to ask about uprated bigs.... http://www.badger5.co.uk/
