BadMeatPies 0 Posted August 20, 2009 Hi guys, this is still very much a dream at the moment, I haven't even sat in one yet.... I was wondering if you guys think a new rocco interior (including rear seats) would fit into a rado comfortably? I guess the rear seats may be a bit narrow, but I could probably think of a way to make that look smart. I absolutely love the look, especially in brown leather. passat climatronic wiring diags.pdf112_news030803_06z+volkswagen_scirocco+interior.jpg[/attachment:1ovvvxoi] climatronic wiring-Golf from May 01.pdf0802_07b+2009_volkswagen_scirocco+interior_view.jpg[/attachment:1ovvvxoi] 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfvw_scirocco_interior copy.jpg[/attachment:1ovvvxoi] vw_scirocco_interior_rear.jpg[/attachment:1ovvvxoi] what do you all recon? will it look good? will it fit? mattnorgrove 0 Posted August 20, 2009 No idea if it'll fit, BUT, those front seats look damn sexy in brown hide!
davidwort 0 Posted August 20, 2009 anything's possible! would look pretty good if done right I reckon, it's not going to be plug and play though :) then your major problem would be getting hold of one without having to risk a prison sentence for obtaining it, dread to think what VW would charge for all the parts new :pale:
BadMeatPies 0 Posted August 20, 2009 haha, yep, thats the other problem, been keeping an eye on ebay but i guess my best bet is going down to the scrappys looking for a new rocco with some dents in it. glad I'm not the only one who likes the idea. KADVR6 had some cloth ones. Not sure if he still has them :confused4:
Jim 2 Posted August 20, 2009 The only issue I think you might have is the sheer bulkiness of the seats compared to Corrado units. The seats in the Scirocco I took to Germany last year had electric lumbar supports and possibly even airbags in them - and were quite noticably fatter in the base than Corrado ones as a result. The might simply be so tall, you could put them in but would not be able to adjust them!
KADVR6 0 Posted August 20, 2009 the front seats WILL 100% fit, you will just need some subframes fabricated, the rears are surprisingly easy to fit but they are 45mm narrower each side than the standard rear seats, so you will have to get some form of foam to fill the gap. does that help?? BadMeatPies 0 Posted August 20, 2009 Thanks Jim, thanks KADVR6, now its tempting! KADVR6, do you have plans for the rocco interior you have (if you still have it)?
aust 0 Posted August 22, 2009 hi mate ive got a pair of scirroco front seats, just need to make the frames up. do you know if anyone has fitted these seats to there corrado? cheers
voo51 0 Posted August 23, 2009 I have been curious about this for a while but could never find a new scirroco being broken. Do they not have airbags in them?
aust 0 Posted August 23, 2009 i think they do have, its got 2 plugs under them. i will get some pics up when i get chance to.
Jay23Sx 0 Posted August 24, 2009 i think they do have, its got 2 plugs under them. i will get some pics up when i get chance to. I would have thought it would have had 'Airbag' stamped on the bolsters somewhere if it did have them. Edit: Just checked, standard spec list from the VW website lists "Front seat side impact airbags"
voo51 0 Posted August 24, 2009 Would that make them harder to fit?
Jay23Sx 0 Posted August 25, 2009 I'd certainly say it means you have to be careful, you wouldn't want them going off.
aust 0 Posted August 25, 2009 they do have airbags, just had a closer look. goin to try and get these fitted it seems silly not to give it a go.

Alex_G60_Fanatic 0 Posted September 3, 2009 if its just the brown leather and trim details your wonting, could you not just get the existing seats re-upholstered? it wouldn't be as expensive as buying a new interior... just a thought also saves you having to build a frame and fill the foam gaps between the rear seats. theres a plce in Edinburgh that can re-upholster a car in any shade of leather you can think of a fit it all in a day
