Number plate plinth

I managed to get this one from the local breakers, but the fixings where missing !

what do the fixings look like ? Are they still available ? And what does everybody stick the bottom on with ?21112009035.jpg[/attachment:1rwxtyhf]

There's some little rubbery grommet type things that the prongs locate into.

 

Just give your stealer a call unless you want to bodge it with tape (arguably just as good!).

I just had to put this back on my car. Here is what i found:

 

Went to my local motorfactors (MDC) and bought 12 (yes 12!) number plate fixing pads. Strategically placed them (had to double a few up in some spots) to get the plate holder to fit snugly back on.

 

Also place a few on the lower lip where you can see those little plastic tabs which "hook" over the bottom lip of the hatch (hard to explain - but when you look at it you will know what i mean!)

 

 

Good luck (and make sure you rub down the hatch with some isoprop to clean off any crap before attempting to get the plateholder to stick on using the fixing pads)
