I just find tornado red very flat.. and it is even more susceptible to fade than flash red. Flash has a bit more glossyness to it and a bit more depth.. if that makes sense.

Mmmm, pretty sure mine was Tornado. I always though flash was a bit more orange than Tornado. Red is the best colour for polishing.

i like depth, and dont want to use a color code from another car( alfa, porsche, or so) so i want the best red ( not orange )in the VW paint colors.

So for what i see, the flash red gloss more and had more depth than the tornado red..

Don't mean to be controversial but - is there a good red?!! :D

I understand from paint people that it has always been the worst colour by far to match up and in their efforts to achieve match, the big chemical firms have produced some incompatible paint chemistries.

Depends on whether you like a slightly dark or a slightly light red really.

Tornado Red is nice when it's fresh (if you wanted a respray) as it's a little deeper than Flash.

The first photo is the first day of ownership, others are from second day after a bit of spit and polish. And yes, that's Tornado Red.

today i have been around paint shop catalogue and at first view i defo prefer the tornado red, the flash red in the sample ( in my opinion) tends to be brightness.

So i think that will continue as the standard color when i bought it
