Pressed Plates

Recommended Posts

Hi

Got some legal pressed plates for Christmas from Dubmeister. Back one has stuck on fine with numberplate tape (double sided foam tape). But the front one just won't stick because of the curve.

Anyone encountered this and worked a way around it. Don't really want to have it to drill unless its the only option!

I've now got a pressed plate on the back and normal on the front at the moment - looks a bit silly.

Thanks

Laura

I've always used velcro :salute:

3 strips (both sides and center) from top to bottom.

Well Laura...

I did lose the front plate once, but i have it sat down very low. I was having a little fun on some back roads and hit a fair old 'yump' in the road, the splitter bent right up, and the plate actually came off too. :o But nope...Never had a problem otherwise.

I've always used scotch double-sided tape. There ain't no chance of people nicking my plates unless they take the bumper with them!!

i use something called "trimtape" its what bodyshops use to attach trim etc to cars after repairs. its fair sticky..... so much so that its a 'mare to remove the plates. Making it thieving toerag resistant too 8)
