fuel pump

when i bought my g60 the guy gave me a new fuel tank with a fuel pump..

 

the seals on the bottom of my fuel pump are knackered so i went to change it when i was having trouble with the car running smoothly. when i took it out of the other fuel tank it was different to my g60 one so i am unsure what it is for.

 

could anyone tell me which rado this pump is for?

It does indeed look like a lift pump.

 

Some cars came with a 2 pump system.

 

My 91 G60 has a single pump unit. A very solid bit of kit. Not at all like that.

 

The single pump unit is a semi sealed unit that has (by all accounts) has no servicable parts..

 

Mine has the Pierburg pump there is a VDO unit that is a replacement but you will need a new fuel level float arm as your standard 1 may not fit it..

 

I pulled my pump the otherday as I'm having a little trouble with it..

so basically that is just a pump to pump it from the tank to another pump.

 

is it worth anything? i dont need it as i bought another g60 fuel pump little while ago.

Yup and they dont often pack up but put it up for sale as someone will have some use for it.

no idea 15 quid? it will fit the corrado and golf etc with the lift pump set up.

does anyone know if rado fuel tanks are the same as the mk2 golfs fuel tanks. are all tanks the same in the rados just different pumps?

The tanks differ in size, my late VR has a 15 gallon, but earlier tanks were 12 gallon, not sure when the cutover was though... 92 at a guess, when the facelifted models started rolling out.
