Location of OE Logic Alarm/Immobiliser

Anyone know where I can find the brain of the above to check the model/serial number ?

 

Basically because I don't have a certificate with my car I need a garage to verify which alarm I have - for insurance purposes.

 

Can I tear up the car and find this myself ?

Is there a siren in the engine-bay or something that might be visible ?

my one is just behind the airbox! or rather where the airbox used to be!

Try there i would say, its not too hard to miss

the alarm module/brain should be in the car somewhere..could be in a number of places

different installers put them in different places,you can try behind the glove box,mine is behind the centre consol,but im afraid it will be a case of pot luck as to where yours is

All I basuically need is some part of the alarm that has the model number stamped on it.

This garage wants to see proff before they confirm which type is installed for my insurance company.

 

What is the easiest way ?

Had a look behind my airbox - but nothing.

Wasn't there an installation cert with all the paperwork I gave you? :? My insurance company were happy when I told them I had a factory fit CAT-1 :) .

Weren't oe alarms Scorpion? My OE scorpion siren (and all the brains are in there too I think) is in the engine bay, just above the ABS block...
