Got four different quotes from different garages to fix the minor rust (arch) and the dent. I’ll get it done before winter (funds permitting and all that).

With a bit of wax /cleaning, the rest of the body actually isn’t bad at all (except the usual stone chips and parking scrapes from past owner etc). No need for a full respray. Looks great under the sun!

'tandino' (Pete) fitted them for me. Totally transformed the front-end; the car doesn't feel heavy under braking. Very worthwhile safety upgrade IMO.

I got the calipers from ebay (2nd hand re-furbed) for £79 inc P&P.

Plus the brembo disc, taxtar pads and hoses and Pete fitted them for me. There are a couple of threads about the parts and I've got a couple bookmarked:

Corrado 'Junior' Soprano

Tony: "Uncle June, how was Boca?"

Junior: "Wonderful. I don't go down enough."

Carmela: "That's not what I heard."

Just picked up my car this evening, after having the following works completed:

- New Jetex exhaust fitted

- 2 x New front ARB link rod

- Auxiliary water pump fixed

- Electric mirrors fixed

Courtesy of 'tandino'. :salute:

Car is running great (touch wood etc), and the new exhaust sounds very nice. Power has increased by 10% thanks to the new exhaust, honest! (j/k!) Current mileage is about 79,185, so about 3,169 miles under my ownership. In total 539.52 litres of fuel used (£664), all V-Power apart from the very first tank. Still got about half a tank of fuel left, so overall about 27.5mpg.

I took the long way home of course. :D

got yourself your own personal mechanic there!

:)

Would love to learn & get my hands dirty, but me living in a flat / on-street parking don't help!

Luckily Pete is fairly local.
