james_c2 0 Posted April 21, 2010 Ive got a few gauges coming to fit in the c to keep an eye on what the engine im buiding is doing (oil temp, pressure, boost and poss air-fuel if i go wideband) I was thinking of fitting 2 in a a pillar mount (as mine are getting retrimmed but I think it looks a bit to boy racer) and two below the heater sliders So were have you fitted your gauges, ideally i want them so they can be easily viewed

Riley 0 Posted April 21, 2010 Here's mine. Although i haven't got a pic of the afr/wideband gauge yet which is mounted in a single pillar pod near the dash/windscreen. Also lights up digitally red. Oh, I've got a vdo boost temp gauge to fit yet too. Lol.

Fanjita 1 Posted May 9, 2010 Bit OT, Loving the illuminated gearknobs on both your cars, how do you go about doing that then?
krnau 0 Posted May 9, 2010 Bit OT, Loving the illuminated gearknobs on both your cars, how do you go about doing that then? I got it from egay a while ago. it was a lil pricey (75euros IIRC) but it was one of those moments of maximal consumism

krnau 0 Posted May 13, 2010 I made it myself for a few quid...http://forum.volksdevil.com/index.php?showtopic=78&view=findpost&p=10883346 Neil. :| :| :| :| really good good job :notworthy: what's the point of having a vacuum gauge?
dirtytorque 0 Posted May 13, 2010 vacuum is another indication of a healthy system. shows that your engine has good compression and is generally running smoothly. Also it will highlight a vacuum leak quickly. It is something I definiteky like to see.
Fanjita 1 Posted May 13, 2010 With regards to the vacuum gauge, can you fit one to a VR6? Does it require a new sensor or can you tap into an existing one?
dirtytorque 0 Posted May 13, 2010 I see what you mean now as riley has a seperate boost and vac guage.Guage whore. My guage just measures both. You can attach an air pressure gauge be it positive(boost) or negative (vacuum) to any engine mate.
Riley 0 Posted May 13, 2010 Gauge whore...I like it lol. Still have a vdo boost temp sat waiting to be fitted  It's cool being able to see it go from vac > boost, looks all pretty  Used to have just the one that measure both...
