Jon_vr6 1 Posted May 10, 2010 http://wiki.the-corrado.net/fan_speed_thermal_fuse_repair.html Just incase you get the urge to fix your fans working on number 4 only ^^^ Headlight switch is a good one to rob out of the mk2 i have one in mine (fitted by previous owner as the late headlight switch breaks easily, maybe the early one does too ) Mk2 scuttle cover like this one here http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/download/file.php?id=75226&mode=view
SIMONG 0 Posted May 11, 2010 cheers for that jon, i remember on saturday you were saying about changing the fuse on the rheostat, looks like a fairly easy enough job. might have to get a solderin iron to sort it out. anyone, any other bits i can salvage? kerrly 0 Posted June 22, 2010 if you strip the mk2 then advertise parts on vwgolfmk2/clubgti etc and they will go pretty rapidly as big bumper spec GTI parts are easy to offload as majority of non GTi owners would like them. whenever i strip cars i keep plastic boxes full of all the nuts/bolts/washers/trim clips/screws/trim covers/fuses/sections of wiring loom/fusebox as these can be really handy to have around and have saved me a few times as some bolts are VW specific and hard to find elsewhere. Problem with the 8v is its lower spec in terms of running gear to a corrado so brakes, hubs, driveshafts, gearbox etc are all useless or a downgrade. dave
