robbie_d 0 Posted July 11, 2010 Just recently my rear spoiler has started to be a little problematic. It still goes up at 60mph, but never the full way up. The last bit has to be done on the switch. It also returns down at around 10mph, but never the full way. The last bit again has to be done on the switch. When putting the spoiler up and down using the switch it only does a bit at a time. You'll be holding the switch and the spoiler stops moving for a couple of seconds then starts moving again. Any suggestions? Am I looking at a strip down, clean and grease? If so, is there a guide anywhere with photos?
Fanjita 1 Posted July 11, 2010 Sounds like it I'm afraid, I had a similar issue with mine. It would stop near the top or bottom of it's travel and have to be completed on the manual control. Unfortunately this is a mechanical issue, more likely to be the microswitches. To fix mine I found a replacement motor assembly on ebay, cracked it open and greased it all up, then stuck it back in. Been perfect ever since.
