Scar 0 Posted August 15, 2010 Hi folks I've had my Rado for about a fortnight now & am enjoying it. I don't plan to mod it too much as I like it the way it is. I had the misfortune of getting caught on the motorway in torrential rain yesterday, needless to say the wiper & light's upgrade is on the list of 'must do' too... One thing that I am debating changing are the wheels, the Estoril's just don't do it for me.... I am swaying towards these, as I love the look & was wondering if anyone had some pic's/links of them on a Rado & anything problematic I should be aware of? (this would be for my 2.0l 16v, i'm assuming they'll fit). & does anyone have any advice for the front lower lip grille? as mines cracked/smashed from the previous owner (plastic slatted grille bit below the plate within the bumper), are they still being made as I can't seem to find one for love nor money. Many Thanks Rich

Scar 0 Posted August 17, 2010 Has nobody got any pic's/experiences on these wheels?
Purple Tom 0 Posted August 17, 2010 G60 steels - straight fit on a 16V, they'll fit over 280mm brakes too (valvers have 256mm as standard). No problems at all with fitting, they're 4x100 so no adaptors required, 57.1mm centrebore so no spigot rings and the correct offset so no problems at all. Here's a pic of my 8V with them fitted, I also had 280mm brakes on it:
moneypit23 0 Posted August 17, 2010 The bit of plastic was still available when i needed one about 3 years ago. It was labelled as 'air guide grille' on the invoice and was about £45 from VW. PS Steelies are cool!

Barkshire 0 Posted August 20, 2010 I ran g60 steels on my rado and fitted fine over my 288 brakes and had 20mm spacers on the rear and looked great! hope this helps
Scar 0 Posted August 20, 2010 I was worried with it being lowered & them only being 15", they might look ridiculously small, but they pretty damn fine to me. Thanks
