I've been on to Amber performance (Samco Hose Suppliers) asking about discount for a group buy on their coolant hose kit. I emailed them through ebay and he's responded to me today with;

 

Hi the retail price on the VR6 kit is £255.25 and the clip kit is £32.84

We can offer you guys 25% off if you can get 5-10 orders together, or 30% off if you can get 10 or more kits together.

So by my calculations a complete 7 hose kit for a VR6 would be £191.44 if we get between 5-10 for the group buy and £178.68 if we get 10 or more.

You can use your OE clips or buy a new set for £24.63 if we get between 5-10 for the group buy and £22.99 if we get 10 or more.

I was suprised by the amount of discount they're offering and think this is a good deal. Amber Performance are now also offering the 25-30% discount on any Corrado hose kit, anyone interested?

As you can see they're postage is reasonable at £4.95 and I'm assuming they'll honour that to post them out. This could get complicated with colours etc. so maybe you should specify your colour choice as well. Never organised a GB before so I may need some advise

Coulstar...if you get a black set. How much would you want for your blue set? I'm assuming it is a full set? If not I might be up for buying a set in the group buy or just the clips. Will have a think.

Its is a full set but Ive cut the pipe from the head line to the header tank to splice in the turbo. Easy to reconnect it though.

Ok so were almost there :D

 

The reason I'm in a hurry with this GB is because one of my OE hoses has a bubble appearing on it. This is the second hose I've had to replace so I'm just going to do the whole lot now because I'm sure the rest are well degraded now as well. The last OE hose I replaced cost me €106 :eek: from the dealer, so I don't want to be doing that every time one gives up.

Id want the price to be 178 for me to be in, i dont see why we cant wait until we have ten definites unless people need the hoses now?

Is it not worth a mention on the ccgb forum about this group buy too?

I have a bubble on one of my hoses at the momont so I would like to get them before it goes. Been nursing the car now for a couple of weeks with this problem. I don't mind waiting until the end of the month but I really do need mine asap, sorry.
