VR6 Lee 0 Posted October 14, 2010 cool, i bet your getting excited now though......cant beat that feeling of driving a new car for the first time. We want pics as soon as you get it home. Hopefully my bro will bring the camera so we can do rolling shots...lol!!! :luvlove:  Me and Jon_vr6 are struggling with this problem, anybody idea of how to fix hi lee, yeh.. the passenger door does not open. the pin on the door is down as if it is locked. neither the inner or outer door handle engages the lock when you pull them- they think the door is locked as the pin is down. when you turn the key in the passenger door, it does lock and unlock the driver door and boot, but you can feel it wont turn all the way- as the faulty lock prevents it. ive tried with all my strength to pull up on the door pin to unlock the door- but no joy. siezed. BLCSO 0 Posted October 15, 2010 Try NEED TO INSURE the guys there are very realistic and appreciate a classic car for what it is, As an example they offered me a deal on my Vr on a classic policy £258.40 - 1500 miles a year/ £331.90 - 3000 miles a year. Good contact name is Gary on 01623 720081. Oh yes my quote was based on the car being on driveway 37yrs old, 9+ yrs NCB and 9 points !!!! Great price but this is based on 9 years NCB. I have full NCB but these are all used on my daily car, if I set-up a 2nd car for weekends then I have to start at zero NCB so the price can be up to 7 times the amount you got quoted and thats limited t0 2,000 miles a year and £500 voluntary excess. NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL!!!! Just to clarify the above quote, for info for other's. The quote from NEED TO INSURE was for the car to be used as a second one, on a Classic policy. They ask now much NCB you have as a guide only, as my NCB is used on my Audi. The thing I found was that there was a few classic policies that would not quote as the car was not garaged. Like I said possibly a good contact for other user's.

When I bought mine, it was an eight hour round trip. I drove all the way there with the old man. Bending his ear about the (potentially) great car I'd found on't tinterweb. All the way back I was in a whirlwind of euphoria at what I was going to do first when I got home. When I did get home, the Mrs came out and demanded the first drive. Half an hour later she came home with a big grin on her face. Buzzin' for you buddy. Enjoy it.
