What do people do with the inner arch when rolled

Recommended Posts

Now my front arches have been rolled, im wondering what people do with the inner arch? Obviously you loose the fixing points but do people secure as much as possible and extend the plastic some how or just leave me out? I know I can have the belly protectors in, which I believe covers the bottom pully, thats my main concern as the arches will all be sealed properly and I believe its the plastic arches that retain the water and make the arches rusty in the first place?

are you saying you have just used the other screws to sescure the liner? What about the gap at the top where you cant secure it? Just seal it up?

I will put it back on then... cheers. I didnt think of trying that... nice one. Are you sure you dont need to seal the gap? with mastic / sealant?

just a thought, maybe clean it thoroughly and put a few coats of underseal on it? should give good protection plus assist with roadnoise reduction. The rears dont have any arch liners, just underseal.

I have given them a clean already and they have been undersealed. My concern was the rubbing when the car gets lowered, no doubt of that happening as im running 4 x 4 suspension currently but the arches will be ready to accept the new stance. I will put the inners on and see how I go and if it rubs then they can come out.

Cheers chaps

I'd avoid removing the arch liner. The wings don't have brilliant paint on the inside, and rot out in the bottom easily enough anyway.
