steve_16v 0 Posted January 1, 2011 is it just me or is the rallying side of it utter horse cock and balls! im really annoyed atm cause i cant do this rally and its all because the car wont accelerate in lock! it just does its gay traction control ****!!! arrrrgggg You need to turn the traction control off completely for the rallys, makes a world of difference to your times
Philuk 0 Posted January 1, 2011 gonna try it off in a min . out it down to 1 and it made a difference! how frikking turd!
VR6 0 Posted January 1, 2011 No worries, sent it over now, like I say there's no rush to send it back, I've also got cars capable of winning all the other events if you're stuck on any others Cheers Steve. It's not that I'm stuck as such - just seems pointless buying a 300k car for a single race, to win another one of those cars! Phil - which rally is causing you problems? I do agree though, they really do bog down in the hairpins if you get them slightly wrong. Good tip though on the TC - will give that a shot. Anyone struggling on any particular race or championship? yacobwood 0 Posted January 1, 2011 Would anyone care to lend me a Ferrari (Enzo would be nice ) or a Lambo (Race car perhaps?) for the specific Pro level challenges (just one race each)? I promise to take good care of 'em  I have my F430 Scuderia on page 14. With 700BHP I find it difficult not to lap people :norty: True gent, thanks very much for the temporary loan. Much appreciated! It was only for one 3-lap race in the Ferrari challenge on Pro. I just think it's a bit daft buying a Ferrari (unless you want one) for one race ... when the prize is another Ferrari! Anyone care to lend me a quick Lambo for an hour or two, preferably the LP 560-4 2008 .... ? More than happy to reciprocate if anyone needs something specific ...? No Problem. What you think of her? :D Sounds like a lawn mower for some reason but is quite quick
VR6 0 Posted January 1, 2011 She's very nice indeed .... my McLaren MP4-12C is quicker but the F430 feels a lot nicer/smoother to drive! Really surprised at the winning margin against the other Fezza's. I bought a 430 for Prologue and it was a superb car!
Critical_Mass 10 Posted January 1, 2011 Going to be on within the hour. Anyone else up for some online racing?
VR6 0 Posted January 1, 2011 Depends on whether I can gain control of the TV or not!! What would the format be?
Critical_Mass 10 Posted January 1, 2011 Ok well i'll be on anyway. Im happy to do whatever everyone else wants to do. I like to set it up so only the same car can be used, keeps the a level playing field.
VR6 0 Posted January 1, 2011 Sounds good, I'll be on as soon as I can but the next 45 mins are looking unlikely!
Critical_Mass 10 Posted January 1, 2011 oh ffs!!! :censored: New update and its going to take a decade to download it with my shyte internet speed. 608mb. So may not be on tonight myself as i'll be wait hours for it to download (literally), will have to leave it doing it overnight.
Philuk 0 Posted January 1, 2011 it was in the leob rally school! tc off works much better altho it makes the cars proper lairy!
VR6 0 Posted January 1, 2011 Gaz, think that's the main update that they brought out a while ago? It's pretty handy if so - adds seasonal races and other stuff. Phil, I'm the same at the moment - 2nd Loeb challenge but I'm not far off. I can get within half a second but the challenge takes over 4 minutes so I've not really had that many attempts. I see the snow/ice one is after that though. I remember that causing some pain on GT4!
Critical_Mass 10 Posted January 1, 2011 It could well be, was that in the last 2 weeks, because thats about how long i havent played GT for.
VR6 0 Posted January 2, 2011 You can borrow my Lambo, no rush to send it back, my controller's playing up at the moment so I'm not on GT5 until I get a new one Thanks again Steve - completed my two Lambo races this morning, I've detailed her and she's back in your garage :salute:
Critical_Mass 10 Posted January 2, 2011 got update sorted last night.
VR6 0 Posted January 2, 2011 It's not a bad update really apart from taking some time. I like the 'typical opponents' addition most I think although the Seasonal Events can be fun/rewarding. Just golded all of the Loeb Rally Challenge which made me feel warm and fuzzy inside. What are people using for the All Stars and Classics races? It has some seriously quick race cars in. I think I could do it with my McLaren but bumpy tracks like the Ring will be tough!
Jam.e.s 0 Posted January 2, 2011 Does anyone know whether they are planning on adding a Corrado? Only thing I don't like about the game is all the asian cars.

VR6 0 Posted January 2, 2011 I think we're crossing wires here Gaz - I'm talking Extreme level and the opponents are 900bhp, 700kg Race cars so if you can beat them with a Mk1 Golf I am SERIOUSLY impressed

VR6 0 Posted January 2, 2011 Pretty much the same sort of calibre. Old 1970's Race cars that are nuclear powered and weigh as much as a shoe!

I think I could do it with my McLaren but bumpy tracks like the Ring will be tough! I used a '70 Toyota 7 Race Car (898BHP 620Kg) for the Historic racing series, got it from winning 'Like the Wind' in B-spec. Winning that's not easy though, had to use a fully modded Pagani Zonda R to win it in A-spec and the prize for which was a Toyota 88-CV LM car, fully tuned that's an absolute monster, 1040BHP, 850Kg and loads of downforce. The Zonda R was another b-spec prize car (or 2.6m from the dealer), well worth getting hold of, probably my favourite car in the game and kicked ass in the All Stars races :)
VR6 0 Posted January 3, 2011 Anyone want a '66 Shelby Cobra 427? 7 litre, 470bhp weighing 1068kg. Got one spare so someone's welcome to it if it's any use ... ?
