stormseeker 0 Posted February 18, 2004 This is a question to anyone who's had the glass off the front of the C's headlights - is the main beam (centre spots) aim independently adjustable of the dipped? Reason I ask is since fitting my uprated loom, the dipped beam pattern is much more noticable, and is aimed about as high as it can be without dazzling other drivers, but when I switch to main beam, I've got a big pool of light on the road about 12ft in front of the car - like the main beam is aimed much much too low - I wondered if the centre spot lamp reflectors were adjustable inside the headamp itself??? This big blob of light would be much more useful thrown forward, and not dumped on the road :-( (And before anyone says - I know that the main beam filaments inside the dipped/main bulbs can't be aimed independently... just the centre spots...) Kevin Bacon 5 Posted February 18, 2004 Nope. Both lamps are one unit and pivot on the same axis I'm afraid :( K

Kevin Bacon 5 Posted February 18, 2004 Back to the drawing board then matey? Unusual pattern from your spots though.....it's probably just the beam filament on the H4 bulb that's putting the puddle of light in front of the car? The H2s, or 1s or whatever they are tend to shine way into the distance on mine. Maybe you just need a bit more tweaking? K

K Seems to be just one pool of light though, in the centre of the beam pattern, almost sideways figure-of-8 shaped - which is one reason why I suspected the centre-spots...
