It looks a little 'Chinese Restaurant', but is actually a lovely tank. Only been set up a month, a local fish shop (not chip shop!) has done all the work so far and I think they've made a nice job of it. I personally have a 4ft marine tank but want to upgrade to a larger one at some point but it is difficult trying to persuade the wife that she needs a bigger tank in her life! Sean_Jaymo 0 Posted January 3, 2014 Seeing as you asked so nicely! Here is a very poor phone picture of my tank. I need to find a way of taking tank photos without them being bleached out by the light! I've had it up and running for 3 years or so, maybe a bit longer. It's definitely been a labour of love with it's ups and downs. I can also spend long periods of time away from home and as such I wanted it to be low maintenance for the wife for when I was away. It's a 48x15x18 tank that is running without a sump or a skimmer and has been without either for 2 years with no nasty side effects. They only issue I have is an unsightly film on the surface, but as I said, there have been no nasty side effects. 45ish KG of live rock, 25kg of sand and plenty of snails and a few crabs provide all the filtration I need for the smallish amount of fish and few corals I do have. I like the look of all the tanks in here, loved my tropical tank! I used to have a little 60l tropical tank but decided to make the jump and ended up with this!
