Abdul 0 Posted June 8, 2011 Damn thats crazy, good thing you've got the 24v going in... Out of interest which leads did you pull out? Im still trying to figure out what caused the damage!
Swompy 0 Posted June 8, 2011 HAha I know o well, she will still be able to make it to Bristol this weekend :D If I remember correctly it was cylinders 1 + 2 ( the two on the furthest left) When the engine is out I think I'm going to sell it whole or strip it down to parts. If I strip it down I will have a look and see what has caused it.
Abdul 0 Posted June 8, 2011 Yeah try finding out please. Im determined it couldn't of happened during my ownership lol. Mind you from what i understand all the niggles i dealt with occured during the previous owners stint lol. He didn't take any care of it.
Swompy 0 Posted June 8, 2011 Ya could have been anything tbh, probably running with out oil or sucking something into the engine are the most luckily culprits. But every cloud has a silver lining :D
Abdul 0 Posted June 8, 2011 Running without oil? Not me for sure lol.
Swompy 0 Posted June 26, 2011 Well this afternoo I took the plunge and gutted the rado of all beige interior parts and fitted a spare drivers seat I had. Watch the forum/ebay for when I sell it. On the hunt for black cloth or leather now :D

Swompy 0 Posted July 3, 2011 New seats But going to get my thinking head on to try and work out how to fit them in and wire them up as they are electric ( I don't do things easily :D ) Any ideas
captainredeye 0 Posted July 4, 2011 If you could find a picture of the fitments on the car they came out of, it might give you an idea of how to go about it. Sure a few people have gone for porsche seats before so someone is bound to pipe up with something useful. But any how nice choice on the seats. 8vMatt 1 Posted July 4, 2011 Hey buddy, nice choice. Will look smart once their in. Give Robrado974 a shout as he has Porsche tombstone seats fitted, although he didn't fit them himself, he might have a pic of underneath. Or he could be really nice and lift a heavy lump out and upside down for you!
Swompy 0 Posted July 4, 2011 Thanks guys. I will give him a pm as well Matt, I have pm'd DiggerB but better to get an idea from more than one set up. Will also have to work out how to wire them in as they are half electric and I hate electrics :(

Would you mind sharing that info either on this thread or by PM?
