Timo. 0 Posted February 22, 2004 I have noticed in a few threads people with vr6's have one way valves in their 'rocker breather pipes'. Mine doesn't have one. Should I be concerned about it?? Rather alot of oil seems to come out and spray onto the inlet pipe and then onto the throttle butterfly. I only cleaned the inlet pipe out the other day and it was dirty again this monring. No wonder these things use so much oil!!! :? Is there anyway I can reduce this, or is it, just the way it is?? cheers timo
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted February 23, 2004 Deleting that filter didn't make any difference to the amount of oil that gets sucked into the inlet hose on mine..... sounds like your engine is 'breathing' a bit.... although I found the engine runs better with one connected. It's a weird system as it's split to go into the throttle body directly (with the CC fumes) and also the inlet hose elbow. I think that little outlet sucks off any oil that condensates on the main filter.....strange!
