PeteL 0 Posted March 17, 2011 Hi I will be removing my bonnet this weekend, is it as easy as disconnecting the washer then just undoing the 4 bolts (2 each side on the arms) and lifting off? Any other tips? Is it a 3 man job or would I get away with just 2 of us? I tried a search on this but no luck. Cheers
swiftkid 1 Posted March 17, 2011 Yea thats it, disconnect the washers then undo the bolts, 2 men could do it but 3 would be beneficial as it weighs a tonne and you really don't want to drop it on the windscreen!
easypops 8 Posted March 17, 2011 I swapped mine over last week.......did it with 2 people..........quite straightforward, although when i closed the newly fitted one the bonnet jammed shut as the spring locator things were in a slightly different position.......had to ease(break) the grill out to get at the cable.........so i'd suggest, if your fitting a different one take the grill off before you close it......if its the same one going back on then its a doddle :)
StueyB 0 Posted March 17, 2011 Can be done with two competent humans. Three if you wanna be the boss and employ two minions. One man required for carbon bonnet removal/fittings.

StueyB 0 Posted March 17, 2011 Haha, wasn't saying it couldn't be done but its far far easier with a second pair of hands.
