VR6 engine help please.

Recommended Posts

Ok I'm no expert, far from it in fact but I believe I can here a few noises

coming from the engine bay that shouldn't be there. Some of them are intermittent

but not in the way that it sound rough on start up and then calms down as it warms up.

So far I have taken it to several garages and a couple of "engine specialists" but they all want to do work

based on guess work at stupid prices.

So yes you have guessed what comes next.

Does anybody know of any VR6 specialists or people that have worked on VR6 engines and know what they are talking about with in the Nottingham/Mansfield area?

Thanks,

Lee

If you're willing to travel a bit further south, you won't go too far wrong with DG Autotech based just outside Kidderminster! Graham knows the VR6 engine inside out :)

As Jim said, Graham at DG really knows his stuff. Other than that, aren't C&R Enterprises based in the Notts area? Defo worth a look.

Here you go: http://www.candrenterprises.co.uk/. One of the co-owners, Steve Cresswell used to be on the Forum a lot under the name of 'Crasher'.

DG are definitely worth the trip for peace of mind. Genuine enthusiast(s) that want to do the right thing for you and your car. They have looked after me really well and I

am 140 miles away from them! They disgnosed a few issues straight off before even plugging in the VAGCOM.
