G60 Spoiler

Recommended Posts

Hello Guys

I hope you can help me, I'm looking to use the spoiler off a G60 to use on a different car. My question is what parts am I going to need? Obviously the spoiler/mechanism itself but what else?

Does the spoiler require a control unit or can it simply be operated with a live feed (I only want it to go up and down on a button) and therefore it will be relatively straightforward?

Thankyou for taking the time to read and a very nice forum for a very nice car!

There is a control unit in the dash, but If you just want it to go on a switch you will just need to get power to it, what car are you putting it on?

Thanks for reply. I plan on using it on an E46 BMW coupe.

Just to clarify, all I would need is the mechanism and not the tailgate itself?

There are a few on eBay at the moment. Any one of these would be suitable for simply powering with live feed to make it go up and down?

I don't think it will be just as easy as running a + and - to it, surely it'll need a relay?
