Corradoooh! 10 Posted July 3, 2011 Hi there, top site. I just replaced my Corrado leaky aux water pump. The thing is, now that it's back together, is there any way of testing that it's working. I've tried listening after a run but silence. I just put that down to it having a nice new pump. Any tips for a newby are much appreciated. Also my driver window motor has died and am flumoxed as to how i take it off the replace. Is the replacement a sirrocco motor? Many thanks. It is the most fun car i've ever owned. daves16v 1 Posted July 3, 2011 The pump usually runs with the ignition on only and you should still hear a new pump working. Pull the plug off and give it a 12v supply.

fendervg 33 Posted July 8, 2011 It's not loud - but with the ignition on you should hear a gentle hum as the pump works away - testing voltage on the plug is your best bet. I usually run these kind of things off the car as a test before fitting. Mine was making a terrible rattling noise before I replaced it.
Corradoooh! 10 Posted July 14, 2011 Thanks for the tips. I put 12 volts and a gentle tap on it and it whizzed up fine. Now it's a problem with the window. If it's not one thing.... It's just another reason to love the car.
