Sheer bolt removal??

Recommended Posts

How?

Basically to change my ignition switch I need to remove my wheel locking bracket but it's held in place by a dam sheer bolt!

Any thoughts?

Cheers,

Paul.

Yup. Then use one or 2 cable ties to hold the new one in place. Just make sure its tight enough.

WHAT!!!!!

That bolt holds the steering lock to the housing - you can't use cable ties and it will fail an MOT due to lateral play!!

EDIT - Just re-read the original post - no need to remove the lock housing to change the ignition switch!

It simply plugs into the back and is held in place by a small screw
