Gti182 10 Posted July 28, 2011 Hi All, new to the forum and seriouly been considering purchasing a rado as my 2nd car/project. I have a set of mint mk3 black recaro's and was wondering if they might be a straight fit? cheers Neill
t700bes 1 Posted July 28, 2011 Yes, but the seats sit a LOT higher... I would try to use the raddo subframe!
Gti182 10 Posted July 28, 2011 thats positive although i am quite tall. The mk3 seats do have rather good height adjustment. Are the rears straight fit too?
Chrisvw419 0 Posted July 28, 2011 To my knowledge the corrado has the same width seat rails as that found in the Mk2 Golf. The Mk3 had wider spacing on the floor pan so therefore a small amount of modification will be required. So I think you will find they are not a straight swap. The rear bench are a different shape, again with a bit of tweaking they would fit, but your lose the the corrado style rear bench and in my opinion wouldn't look great. Gti182 10 Posted August 12, 2011 Aren't mk2 and mk3 seats interchangeable?
