Corrado VR6 Engine or Complete car with V good engine

Recommended Posts

For that price, I think you would need to be a little lucky to get something decent. That said, it depends on what you get with the engine. A bare engine, easy. A dressed engine, a little more difficult. Full engine + loom, ECU, etc a lot more difficult. What exacty are you looking for, and where are you?

There is a knock somewhere in the guts of the engine which i am guessing is big end so think it will be easier just to swap an engine over so have all ancillaries already, but another idea was to get a complete car and try recoup the money spent by breaking the rest of it. I am near Bicester Oxon.

I am more swayed towards a complete car I think as I may need other bits and at least I can run the engine in the car for a bit so I am sure it is a good one. Is it a pretty straight forward engine swap???

not hard - the most difficult bit is getting the exhaust manifold bolts off. Then, if the car is already on ramps, you can drop the engine down and out of the front of the car. I used an engine beam to assist here (beam is now for sale - shameless plug!)
