EJ Taylor 22 Posted October 23, 2014 So, as title, cage and mounts are now fully painted, must add my very good friend has done an amazing job on the paint, its like glass!!! Doing the front brace crinkle red to inkeep with the red and black theme then its just a case of sourcing and painting the one piece scuttle panel to cover the wiper mechanism, any recommendation on where to get one would be most appreciated! Just the fit, finish and general quality isn't great. Don't get me wrong there's loads of people perfectly happy with theirs, I'm just really picky and even though I "only" paid £70 for mine, I just wasn't happy with what I got for my money (that's not a snipe at the seller btw). My advice would be try and have a look at one before you fork out - you might be perfectly happy with it and think I'm being a nob  Edited October 27, 2014 by Jamie

Jamie 1 Posted October 28, 2014 No that's the thing - there's not a lot of other options as far as I'm aware. Spoonfed do one but it's horrendous money and I've not seen one so can't comment on the quality, although his stuff is apparently top notch
poll250 0 Posted October 28, 2014 Nice- I work in Hanborough and have driven past it a few times last week on the way to my parents house (where the VRT is 'stored'). Have you used them for paintwork before? They've also got a real nice CSL style M3 in at the moment.

I've hadn't really thought about using them for paintwork, but I've seen some really nice cars outside over the last couple of years, so maybe I should! It sure is local too... I thought about going to the local meets like DCO etc but since I got a 2nd car a couple of years ago the VRT has pretty much sat on my parents driveway looking pretty. It needs a bit of work doing to take the old alarm out as it causes random issues, but electrics are not my strong point!
