pacifica112 0 Posted September 21, 2012 Never thought I would see that car again. I saw that car on ebay and was next in line if you didn't get it. So glad you it was another forum member that bought it and decided to fix it up and get it back on the road and not just part it out like so many others Neil

Portent 0 Posted February 9, 2013 Take a look around the oil pressure sensor. I've seen a few leaks there and that was the cause of mine.
Benjevw 10 Posted February 9, 2013 Take a look around the oil pressure sensor. I've seen a few leaks there and that was the cause of mine. Thanks portent Where's that located? It used to just leave a few drops from the crank seal but never this much! Cheers Ben
robo22sri 10 Posted February 9, 2013 Ben you have a bad leak on the matrix! And sort that bit going to the washer bottle  that did my head in the 90 plastic joiner
Portent 0 Posted February 9, 2013 Thanks portent Where's that located? It used to just leave a few drops from the crank seal but never this much! Cheers Ben Another forum member changed mine but they (there are two) should be on the upper oil filter housing I think. There will be wires going into them obviously. Also I believe they need locktight or ptfe tape on the threads to stop then leaking (someone more knowledgeable than me can advise). It may not be the source but it can be common. Benjevw 10 Posted March 20, 2013 Put the milltek on yesterday! The old system was still in pretty good condition apart from the centre box. 1 hit with the hammer and the clamps came off which was good, then all the pipes just slid off !! Which was even better! Ended up taking less than an hour to do. It's crazy how much lighter the milltek system is and the noise is lovely! Almost standard when ticking over but when you floor it..........all the smiles :D ---------- Post added at 8:38 AM ---------- Previous post was at 8:18 AM ---------- The milltek's fitted! And it sounds amazing ! The old exhaust came off so easy I couldn't believe it!! Had the old 1 off and the new 1 on in under an hour on my mates drive. The clamps were totally rotten but with 1 hit with a hammer they split straight off. The old system is still in ok condition apart from the centre suitcase. Are you meant to drop the rear beam to get the standard exhaust off? I ended up chopping it up Woops Ben ---------- Post added at 8:39 AM ---------- Previous post was at 8:38 AM ---------- The milltek's fitted! And it sounds amazing !
