Banana Man 0 Posted November 30, 2002 Hello its me again right first of all you need to check your brake fluid if it's ok and your handbrake light is still on then check the connections to the brake fluid resevoir sensor which is on the top of the resevoir if they are corroded or broken then replace them. And if that isn't the cause then the last thing I can think of to check is the switch which is under the handbrake but to get to it you need to take off the cowling that surrounds the handbrake just a couple of screws and it's off if the switch looks a bit worse for wear replace it they aren't expensive at all a couple of quid at max and if that isn't the cause then I don't know what it could be!!! I ve just spent the last 2 hours refixing my rear diffuser on to the bottom of my bumper as I nearly ripped the whole thing off while I was reversing and didn't see the stray brick jump out of the bush and staright into my path. Had checked brake fluid level and connections etc and everything was fine which is why I assumed it was the handbrake causing the problem but since checking the fluid level, the brake master cylinder had decided to come out!! :shock: Only a bit but enough piss the brake fluid away.
