It's like Patrick Bateman is driving a Corrado - don't skip the first minute if it seems boring - it's worth getting the whole effect of the build up. Trust me!

I have video of the Mk1. A few people on here have seen the car at various meets last year. It was a ground up restoration on an 81 GLS with documented 67k miles from new. I bought it from the person that built the car. A Mclaren engineer named Neil.

The car was fitted with a G60 supercharged Audi 20 valve four cylinder, minus the turbo. Many other mods too.

Very light and very quick! :)

I like the shape, to me it looks like a mk 0 Corrado!

 

True there are very few mk1 Sciroccos left......and this is without doubt the finest there is. :)

I was impressed with the "automatic shoulder belt system" how reliable were they I wonder?

 

FishWick it's a sales video, it's always going to look more impressive than it actually is :lol: At least it's informational, unlike the tripe advertised these days.

I was surprised to find the qashqai cant really fly, however not surprised it doesn't have four wheel drive.

So it really does slide along the door like that electrically, and not by mechanical trickery?! Can't believe they went to so much trouble for those lazy Americans!

Correct, winder motor for the whole lot is located in the b-pillar, which is why the b-pillar (and also the a-pillar and the upper door edge) is located further into the cabin compared to a standard Rado to make space for the mechanical gubbins, essentially the track along which the seatbelt moves.

 

Amazing system, love it, got used to it within no time, and now forget to buckle up whenever I get into a standard Left-hooker car without it.

If you mean the drag race analogy I just took it as a joke elliot, I sometimes wear a mini skirt and high heels too! ;)

 

I quite like 1/4 mile runs.....not often that it ends in a collision with the scenery!
