V Bachetta 10 Posted January 30, 2012 Hi, I noticed that my heaters werent working very well after fixing my coolant issues. I finally changed the thermostat tonight along with a faulty oil pressure switch. After doing so there is some hot ait coming out on fan speed one howeverwhen i put this higher it air goes cold. Both top and bottom pipes running to the radiator are warm when the engine has wamred up, the bottom one was always cold before i did the thermostat. Anyone got any ssuggestions before i decide to change the heater matrix? Thanks Veejay
fla 9 Posted February 1, 2012 does it warm up properly after a bit of a drive? As its colder nowadays, it will take a while for the block itself to warm up.
vw domo 0 Posted February 1, 2012 have you checked the pipes going to the heater matrix are hot? maybe air lock? or the push rod that controls hot and cold might have come off at the heater matrix end.
