PhatVR6 0 Posted March 30, 2004 Why is it ALWAYS misty in the drivers side lower corner on a morning??!?!? it takes forever to demist that area.
dav 0 Posted March 30, 2004 Mate that is what used to happen to my VR6, then the :x Heater Matrix went bang. if yours has already been changed, it might be somthing else, if not get the Matrix checked out.
nogrille 0 Posted March 30, 2004 this also happens on my MK2 golf and jetta - if you take the speaker cover off it demists a lot quicker....
G60Dan 0 Posted March 30, 2004 Could be the windscreen rubber needs replacing? Or you could have a leak somewhere. Do you find you have a wet carpet. My mates old gti had a similar problem - he never sorted it, but thought it that.
PhatVR6 0 Posted March 30, 2004 It's always misted up int he car, the rear screen especially. Would a glass sunroof cause it to mist up more? I find that it attracts condensation, which then drips into the car.
stormseeker 0 Posted March 30, 2004 My tailgate leaks, so my rear window is always misted up AND I've got the permanently misted up bits on the front screen - check your rear hatch for leaks ;-)
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted March 30, 2004 If there's a mist patch on the screen when you get in the car in the morning, there's a leak to atmosphere. If the screen mists over when you start driving, it's just hot air condensating on cold glass. Mist on the screen doesn't necessarily mean a shagged heater matrix. Oh and it does take ages to clear the screen because of the lack of vents up there. Only 3 to cover the whole thing and most of the air comes out of the middle one.
