Misty patch in bottom corner of windscreen

Why is it ALWAYS misty in the drivers side lower corner on a morning??!?!? it takes forever to demist that area. :p

Mate that is what used to happen to my VR6, then the :x Heater Matrix went bang.

 

if yours has already been changed, it might be somthing else, if not get the Matrix checked out.

Could be the windscreen rubber needs replacing?

Or you could have a leak somewhere. Do you find you have a wet carpet. My mates old gti had a similar problem - he never sorted it, but thought it that.

It's always misted up int he car, the rear screen especially.

 

Would a glass sunroof cause it to mist up more? I find that it attracts condensation, which then drips into the car.

My tailgate leaks, so my rear window is always misted up AND I've got the permanently misted up bits on the front screen - check your rear hatch for leaks ;-)

If there's a mist patch on the screen when you get in the car in the morning, there's a leak to atmosphere.

 

If the screen mists over when you start driving, it's just hot air condensating on cold glass. Mist on the screen doesn't necessarily mean a shagged heater matrix.

 

Oh and it does take ages to clear the screen because of the lack of vents up there. Only 3 to cover the whole thing and most of the air comes out of the middle one.
